I had big hopes for this Web Animations API game demo in 2015. It was a sequel to a finished game, but was going to have many levels with different gameplay options. It's still fun to me in its basic drag-to-find-the-palindrome demo form. So here it is: palindrama.danielcwilson.com

palindrama.danielcwilson.com is in its original 2015 demo form except I removed the
touchevent fallbacks since Pointer Events are now in Safari, and I added a quick icon + manifest + service worker so I could play it on a plane one day. -
There are many improvements that could/should be made... the biggest is that this is using the Web Animations API as defined in 2015, and there were big improvements made to canceling animations and how to handle forward fills efficiently that this is not taking advantage of.

I was so optimistic I could find time between work and family things that I let this game be mentioned 279 episodes ago on Shop Talk Show. But hey - I still made a thing and glad its rough form is out there now! More unfinished-demos-converted-to-kinda-real-things coming soon...

How to play: Find as many palindrome paths (left/right/up/down/diagonal with same result backwards as forwards) in 90 seconds. At least 3 emoji long. Longer palindrome = more points. Typical score once you get the hang of it is around 100, but you can push 1000 on a good board
